What is the difference between a family dentist and a pediatric dentist?
A family dentist provides dental treatment and care for the entire family (like a family doctor). Like a pediatrician, a pediatric dentist limits the scope of their practice to infants, children, and teens. At Tomasik Family Dental, we can take excellent care of your whole family, including your youngest children. An advantage of a family dentist is that we can continue to see your child forever, even after the age where they would typically graduate out of pediatric dentistry (around 18 years of age).
What is the difference between a family dentist and a corporate dentist?
Many family dentists, like Dr. Tomasik, own and operate a small private practice that enables greater personalization and flexibility with the techniques that are used. A corporate dentist works for a larger corporation which decides the techniques and practices the dentist is able to use. In a corporate dental practice settings, your bills are from the corporation and customer service has to come from the corporate office. This can make communication difficult, as you cannot resolve concerns with your doctor directly. Family dentists are able to take care of your teeth and your questions and concerns as our valued customer. We treat you like part of our family!

How long do CEREC crowns last?

Yes! In addition to offering greater convenience, CEREC crowns are made from high quality material that is designed to withstand years of chewing.

You won’t pay the cost of missing [more] work or securing [extra] childcare. CEREC’s superior technology offers patients a convenient, satisfying return on their crown investment.
