I can’t say for sure, but this time of year I imagine dental insurance company execs sitting around staring at the calendar while biting their nails, counting down the days until January 1. Why is that? Well, that’s the day that many of you lose all of your benefits from the previous year (that you’ve already paid for) which in essence goes right back into the insurance company’s pockets.

Additionally, some other benefits such as FSA’s may expire at the end of the year as well. (If you’re not sure, it would be best to check with your plan administrator or your trusty HR department)

We want to help you with this. In addition to seeing as many patients between Christmas and New Years as we can, our insurance coordinators will be on stand-by to answer any questions you have about your insurance plan. If you still have dental needs to be addressed and either a) have used all of this year’s benefits or b) simply cannot come in before the end of the year, let us know and we can get you scheduled right after the first of the year.

We know it’s a busy time of year, but we want to help make sure what may be a small dental problem now doesn’t turn into a large (and more costly!) one down the road.

Feel free to call us or request an appointment at any time
